I was going through my photos in my computer trying to organize them better. (See #22 on my New Year's Resolutions and Random Thoughts post) When I came across these. I took them just before my son, Cahl, had his first birthday. I just had to share them. WOW! He has grown up so much already.
If you are looking for one of a kind custom blended or hand dyed roving & yarn you have come to the right place! With a passion for fuzz & an even greater addiction of blending new color combos, I strive to create something new, unique & of the highest quality.
I love coming up with new color combos! It doesn't matter if I'm dying yarn, blending roving or making paper. I love making unusual color combos work. I learned to use a drop spindle over 18 years ago. A Native American woman taught me while I was working as an outfitter in the Sierras. It was great because it fit into my saddle bags and was wonderful entertainment around the campfire...Believe me, no one wants to hear me sing. LOL! I lost time to spin a later but rented a spinning wheel from a local guild a few years ago and recaptured the fiber bug. I spend most of my day with my trusty Pat Green carder at my side filling orders from my eBay and Etsy stores.
What else...I'm a craftaholic. And I refuse to go through the twelve step program. I also enjoy making soap, candles and paper goods. I have two large kilns here and I can't wait to find some time to get some neat accessories pieces like buttons and broaches and beads done. I spent over ten years making my living as a Farrier traveling all over. So I also do a little Blacksmithing, but with a little one running around firing up the forge is a little tricky now.
